Re: Sitrep Tim

Tim,

The ease of Airborne School shouldn't have come as any surprise. Congratulations on earning your wings. The weak will continue to fall as you continue on with your training. Drive-on, keep focused on the objective, stay out of trouble and NEVER QUIT.

Re: Sitrep

Sauce....you are being given updated information to make a decision and no doubt things have changed since I have been in. I cannot even imagine the opportunities in SOF for an Ordnance Officers. It is hard for me to give you a third choice because things have changed so much. Of the logistic branch...

Re: Sitrep

I am curious...what made you decide to have Ordnance as your #2 choice? They branched transferred me to Ordnance as a Captain and I went kicking an screaming. I cannot tell you about the opportunities in the Regiment for an Ordnance Officer but I would think they are rather few and with this prospec...

Re: Introduction - Cgeyser93

Decent enough Introduction and welcome to the site. As you now have seen, you can't plan everything out nice and neat. You must be prepared when ANY opportunity arises. Serving in the Regiment, you may only be given 18 hour notice and you find yourself in the middle of a fight somewhere on the other...

Re: Intro MAO12A

If I am reading your right, you are trying to see how you can get on Active Duty with a Spec Ops unit? Is this correct? A stumbling block may be your branch and experience. I am not too sure there is any demand in Spec Ops for an Officer who is a Construction Engineer by trade. Changing Branches may...

You could have been doing pushups instead of wasting your time posting this in a thread that has nothing to do with you. No response is necessary.

Your recruiter is not a physician. It would have been foolish of him to give you any odds.

Re: Somebody help me DQ'd??

Braxton, A kid can grow out of asthma. One simply quitting the use of an inhaler however does not mean you are free and clear unless it is documented in a physician's records. That said however, there are very good reasons that there are health standards in place to be a US Army Ranger. While you ma...

Re: Introduction--Braxton

Unless I am mistaken, "Rangers" is a nickname for the 16th Infantry Regiment used to this day. The 16th Infantry Regiment has a proud and distinquished lineage going back to the Civil War through today. They were the featured unit in the movie "Big Red One". Having the adopted ni...

Re: Fat/Muscle boy to Army

Ranger Jim Did I say something wrong? Sorry for the links, it won't happen again. Young man....it is not what you said but what you didn't say. You did not report back a self-administered PT test as Ranger Jim requested. You totally blew him off with your response. What you did was blow off a very ...

Re: Foreign Languages

If you know Latin you can easily pick up French, Spanish, Italian and Portugese. They are all based in the "Romance" languages Well that is the ageless sales pitch given for taking Latin whether it is from teachers or parents. I have always heard this but can't say I really experien...
