Suggested Reading Material
Hello Rangers and Vets, So this deployment is exctruciatingly boring, as such I have rekindled my interest in reading. I am looking for material that will assist me in becoming a better person, soldier, infantryman, paratrooper, and aspiring Ranger. My collection as of now consists of FM 3-21.8 (For...

Career Advice
Hello Rangers, So I am requesting any and all advice. My command offered me another possible career path today. They said that they will sign the 4187 for me to go back to RASP, or they will send me to Ranger School as soon as we redeploy stateside, and I can go to RASP when I PCS. Not really sure w...

Re: Modern Army Combatives
Ranger tough, I almost feel like a better system for fighting in kit (at least basics) would be not give a single piece of instruction. Just put Joe's in full rattle and let them at each other and keep it at 50% ![LOL ](./images/smilies/o_icon_lol.gif)

Modern Army Combatives
Hey Rangers and Vets, Wondering what opinions any of you may have in regards to the army's new MAC program. I have a small amount of experience in it (Lvl 1, working on 2), but I am sure their are those on the page that have much more. In my opinion as of now, is that the army could have chosen/deve...

Re: Hardcore Airborne
I also saw this a few days ago.
I love how he simply drags him off the patio and proceeds to lay hate on that individual.
The individual in question deserved that ass kicking for not only trying to break into a home, but also for being stupid enough to think he could do it twice![LOL ](./images/smilies/o_icon_lol.gif)

Re: Introduction - Caleb
Rangerjd,
I plan on re-enlisting no matter what happens. I was taught growing up to fight tooth and nail for everything I want in life, and I have held on to that even to this day.
And yes, it definetly belongs in a "no shit, there I was category".

Re: Introduction - Caleb
Understood now Ranger Sleepy Doc. At the time I just had just been released from TRADOC where they drill the whole SHARP thing into you, and tell you all those stories of soldiers being dishonorably discharged and being a registered sex offender for pissing in the woods and a female saw them from be...

Re: Going back to RASP
Roger Ranger centermass, My mos is 11B. I understand completely that I have no "experience" in this world, as well as fully realizing how unprofitable my time spent there will be for making me better or more likely to succeed. Looking back a better description would have been "insight...

Re: Introduction - Caleb
Ranger Centermass, First, My apologies. I meant no disrespect to any person who has earned that title. At the time of the earliest possible date for my return to rasp I will have about exactly 2.25 years left on my contract. I am not entirely sure what you were referring to by "sour grapes"...

Going back to RASP
Hello Rangers, So I have three questions. A) Please explain/correct me on the process of going to RASP mid contract. From what I understand, I would need a 4187 signed by my command, I would then go TDY to RASP 1, complete the course, return to my PDS and start the process of PCSing to my newly assi...

Introduction - Caleb
Hello all, I am Caleb. I am an infantryman currently assigned to 4th BDE (Airborne), 25th INF DIV. Here is my story, I went to OSUT in January of 2014, graduated April 14, completed airborne school, and went to pre-rasp. I was a Pre-Rasp candidate for 6 weeks waiting to "class up". 5 days ...
