Re: Intro: Jimming

Ranger Jim, I could not get an Airborne physical. Because of the waiver, they wouldn't let me get the physical.

Re: Intro: Jimming

Ranger Buzz, I know there is a no excuse policy here but I feel as if this deserves an explanation. I've been sick since just after my last post, and I was at MEPS for the last two days. It has also been dangerously cold in my area with a lot of snow on the ground which prevents me from conducting a...

Re: Intro: Jimming

Rangers, I talked with my recruiter again today. He went to MEPs to process some other people, and while he was there, he spoke with some different sources about my proposed plan. He was told by the medical personnel, the Army liaisons, and other recruiters that the waiver which I have received is p...

Re: Intro: Jimming

Rangers, I have been in touch with a new recruiter. My last recruiter had updated him on my situation before he left, so this new guy knew what was happening. I explained the plan from my last post to him. He is getting in touch with some doctors and other recruiters to see if it is possible. I will...

Re: Intro: Jimming

Rangers, I apologize for not updating in a while. I have no excuse, and I am pushing out 50+1. After a lot of talking around with friends and family who are in the military, or who work for the military, I have found what seems to be the best option for trying to obtain an 11x Opt40. I was diagnosed...

Re: Intro: Jimming

Rangers, I got back from MEPS today. The first thing they told me when I got there was that I am not qualified for any type of Airborne contract with a waiver. I was very angry with my recruiter for not knowing this, and at myself for not looking into this process more thoroughly. I did everything I...

Re: Intro: Jimming

Rangers, The waiver went through and I have passed. My PULHES is 111111, so I am still eligable for an 11x Opt. 40. My recruiter has already reserved one for me and I go back to MEPS on Tuesday next week. From what I understand, all I need to do is take the airborne physical and swear in, so it shou...

Re: Intro: Jimming

Rangers, I went to my doctor on Monday and had a checkup. I asked him to take documentation of the checkup, and to write a letter for the doctors who view my waiver. He did both. The office notes/documentation from my visit stated that I have been fully healed since June, and he specified that they ...

Re: Intro: Jimming

Rangers, I got back from MEPS today. I scored a 91 AFQT. I made it through everything until the last doctor went through and DQed me due to bad reports by one of my doctors. As mentioned in one of my update posts many months ago, I went to see a doctor when I initially was having shin pains. That do...

Re: Intro: Jimming

Roger rangerjd, I'll give those exercises a shot. Thank you got the advice. I will not lose sight of my target. I actually did some research on the anatomy of the lower leg, and spent some time poking around my calves. It appeared as if my soleus muscle was swollen or bruised from running. I called ...

Re: Intro: Jimming

Rangers,

I contacted the 75th Ranger Regiment Recruiting and got a quick response. They told me that 200 11x Option 40s are released at the beginning of each month. Lucky for me, October starts in less than a week. I let my recruiter know and will update if/when I reserve my job.

Re: Intro: Jimming

Rangers, Just went to my recruiter to set a date for MEPS and to reserve an 11x opt. 40. He said that there are none currently available, only a 13f opt. 40. I told him I will wait until I get an 11x opt. 40. He said that he will be contacting the recruiting command and checking computer daily to tr...
