Re: pyschiatric evaluation/waiver
Ranger Goon175, I am enrolled in college for this fall, hoping I could join the military instead. I have back up plans, I'm still determined to join the military no matter what. I may just have to go to college for a few years and try again after.

Re: pyschiatric evaluation/waiver
iggy, uuuhhhh, if you thought high school was stressful then what are you going to do in Ranger Batt ? I can guarantee that it will re-define stressful. Ranger Flesh Thorn, I'm sure (because I can't know) your right. I've gotten older, I've toughened up, and when I get to ranger batt, and basic bef...

Re: pyschiatric evaluation/waiver
Ranger Goon175, I am embarrassed to say but, I had a rather stressful high school career and I've got scars on my arm from it. They saw these and it didn't turn out so well. I am not highly unstable and hope I can prove that to the medical field at MEPS.

Re: pyschiatric evaluation/waiver
I wasn't suppose to need an evaluation. I didn't know I needed one until yesterday at MEPS. If I had known I would have prepared before wasting an entire day there.

pyschiatric evaluation/waiver
Does anyone know where I can find any information on how, when, and where I need to get an evaluation that MEPS will approve? Can my own psychiatrist do this or do I need to have it done at MEPS. When I was there yesterday they said they didn't have a psychiatrist present and I am not sure what im s...

Re: introduction Matt
My apologies Ranger Buzz, I am on my druid phone and can't click on links. I planned on checking the link when I got home.
I feel like an idiot, I didn't put 2 and 2 together.

Re: introduction Matt
Thank you Rangers, yes I have been reading and searching but everywhere I find it referred to as RIP. My recruiter told me they changed it but he didn't tell me how to spell it or what it stood for.

Re: introduction Matt
My recruiter said he cannot promise anything. When I got MEPS I will tell them to add option 40 to my contract and I'll cross my fingers and hope. If there is no opening I will still be shipped to GA for basic and ait and while I am there I will train my ass off and make sure I do more than my best....

ASVAB GT studying
I have searched this forum to figure out how to study for the GT section of the asvab and I found nothing. I took the practice asvab and did well (said my recruiter). I was in the top 84th percentile. I want to make sure I score at least a 107 in the GT section and wanted to know if anyone knew a ve...

Thank you Rangers, I am doing my fair share of researching and very much appreciate hearing the reasons for why you chose to become a Ranger.
