OSUT I don't remember if you can or not. Normal APFT at your unit yes you can. RIP, Pre-Ranger, and Ranger School you cannot, but the instructors are calling out times.

The ceremony is not as formal as basic graduation, but there is nothing better than hearing the words "don your berets" and then putting your beret on for the first time. It will probably be held at the Ranger Memorial.

Alot of Rangers do look up to the guys in Delta for good reason. Although Rangers are some of the best trained soldiers in the world there is still a difference between a 19yr. old PFC in Ranger Batt. and a 30yr. old Delta Operator. Officially they may still do it, and you may see it done during a demo using a dummy, but they do not still do this. Too many soldiers hurt. I doubt it feels real pleasant on the meat and potatoes either. You will do plenty of other high-speed things if you make it to batt.
