Re: RS....Summer or Winter??
Winter sucks...I couldn't wear jungle boots in Florida because of the steel plates. I had to buy those worthless speed lace boots with no drainage and got blisters like crazy. Then it was off to Dugway. Those same blisters started freezing up at night and caused frostbite, which almost got me medica...

I know this is an old post, but still funny none the less...
We were humping in the mountains one night and I swear the Ranger's ruck in front of me turned out to be the largest, juiciest cheeseburger I had ever seen...fuck, my mouth is still watering...

Re: Introduction
Jim, quick question, if you don't mind... How can I find out if a guy is a Ranger? There's a guy in town who says he is, but I truly doubt it. I don't want to just call him out on it. But he has whoppers of stories (Notre Dame grad, dentist, firefighter, to name just a few). And the few Rangers I k...

Welcome Brother,
I've been in the P.I. business for about 14 years (mostly insurance fraud), but some other nice assignments as well. PM me if you want to chat and finally, thank you for your service.

Re: Intro-Furious George
I took part in Operation Just Cause, jumping onto Torrijos Airport at 0210 hrs. at 500 ft., just after the Batt. boys jumped in. That was the first combat jump for the 82nd, since WWII. I made a perfect 3-point landing: feet, ass, head. (Editorial note: We landed just east of the tarmac, in the swa...

Hello to all, I served in 2/504th P.I.R. from '86-'90. I started out as a Dragon gunner in A Co., then to the M-60 (loved the pig!) and finally to a rifle squad. One day on an FTX, I saw a bunch of guys wearing patrol caps and had ghillie on their rucks (huge ones, not the lunchbox size one I was is...
