Re: Intro- Matthew
Hello again; I'm looking for some advice from a Soldier's point of view. It's been a year since my last introduction, and I'll make this update curt as to not waste your time. I turn 20 in August 2012, and my braces are scheduled to be off sometime in 2012. I did very well at a blue-collar job, but ...

Re: Looking for a little critique
Awesome song, really liking it
. My only suggestion would be to use a real piano with some reverb in the beginning, and play each note further apart, give it a little of a haunted sound and add boom when everything else comes in. Just a suggestion though.

Re: Good Military Books?
Well, in September I read: Were we Soldiers, Once and Young Jarhead The Good Soldiers Black Hawk Down The Red Badge of Courage All amazing books, but my favorite was The Good Soldiers. This month I'll be reading Iron Coffins, Art of War, and On Killing. Also if you refresh the 1st page of the topic ...

Re: Surviving the Cut
Honestly I was pretty annoyed with the show. Am I the only one who thought they spent almost all their time on the first 2 weeks and then barely screened the rest of the training? On the otherhand I saw the show on Marine Recon and it was pretty much the same thing. Possibly the DOD thought they sho...

Good Military Books?
I was wondering if anybody could recommend some books that you've read? Specifically I've been looking for a book that surveys American Military history as opposed to a single auto-biography. More or less, I'm just looking for a good read. Any ideas are highly appreciated, Thanks! *Edit below line/t...

Re: Vibram Five Fingers
@Silverback I was aiming at the validity of the training itself, considering that running shoes are a "new" convention. I'd tend to agree with you about the prices, but the feel of Chuck Taylors isn't really the same as a Vibram. I'm not saying that Vibrams aren't overpriced either, you pr...

Re: Vibram Five Fingers
I have a pair of Vibrams that I use about 1/3rd of the time compared to my running shoes. Most barefoot running hippies will say that the point of running barefoot is to teach you how to run and use the nerves in the feet and build up calluses and such, so wearing so much as socks or even Vibrams de...

Intro- Matthew
Hi all, my name is Matthew and like alot of people that come to this board, I wish to achieve the Ranger tab someday. What separates me from everybody else trying to do the same thing? Probably not much, but that means spit. I was a nerd most of my life, out of shape most of my life, I was home-scho...
