Re: Introduction - SPC MSA35Papa
That is a great idea, not many applicants show up quoting the regs! good luck at MEPS!

Re: Introduction - SPC MSA35Papa
Sequestration should have no effect whatsoever on it. When did you have PRK? You can reference AR 40-501 to see what the minimum wait time is after having the surgery, and if you have past that time, then MEPS should have no reason to make a big deal about it, beyond requiring you to have the med. d...

If you have a signed 368, you should have no issues going active duty as a 35P

Re: Prior AF medic
Honestly dude, your medical skills might not even be on par with most 11B TL's and SL's in battalion, as most get sent to be NREMT-I, do rotations in an ambulance and in the ER, etc. as well as having combat trauma experience. I have heard more than one Ranger Medic say that the average 11B in batta...

Re: Not Doing Track To Focus On Strength
I think track is a great sport for training for the 75th, as well as cross country. In fact, I joined cross country my senior year of high school to prepare, as I knew I wasn't a good distance runner. You want to know how you achieve balance? let track/xc be your run work out, and then supplement th...

Re: SEAL, who shot Bin Laden, speaks out.
This guy is a fucking tird for doing this interview and portraying the military the way he did, I don't give a fuck what he did before. When I first read this, I thought, no way this is the actual guy, this guy sounds way too unprofessional and is probably posing to some esquire writer who doesn't k...

Re: When to start talking with a recruiter?
It just came down on high that no one except actual Marine Poolee's are allowed to attend their PT sessions, due to an applicant having a stroke during one of their PT sessions. So I would be surprised if that invitation is still open to you.

It's a good MOS in the 75th. You did well in reserving that.

Re: Option 40 in April
Nope, it's just that so few cooks make it through RASP that they have to get a bunch of them to try out just to get a few that make it all the way through. You see the same thing with MOS's like 92Y, 92A, etc

You can get an opt. 40 at 17 - if they are available.
Go to college while you are in so that you don't have to get out with out a degree.

Re: When to start talking with a recruiter?
It is very common to take college classes while in Batt. these days.
Personally, I feel that my time in Batt. has given me more tools for success than anything I have done in college.

Re: Questions on RASP 2
I actually see Opt. 40's come with signal MOS's far more than I do them coming with infantry MOS's. And 150 opt. 40's a month for 11x is a thing of the past. I haven't seen that many for a LONG time.
