Re: Foreign Views of the U.S.

There is a reason why many of our ancestors upped and got the fuck out of the "old countries". They sucked... They still do by comparison imo... However, that comparison is distorted by those who value freedom, and those who do not. Freedom means YOU decide, and you either succeed or FAIL ...

Re: Blackhawk Down Paper Assignment

Re: RS....Summer or Winter??

I can sweat and drink water like a champ.

I'm a hot/humid type of dude and fucking LOVE the heat.

You, being from way up north....probably not so much. Go with winter if you do have a choice. If not, prep for the heat if you can, as being a heat casualty is not conducive to graduation.

Re: Training to be a Ranger

The Ranger Regiment is unique in that the selection process is geared toward identifying individuals that possess the characteristics needed to learn specialized skills within the unit, and through external training opportunities. Other SOF organizations require ALL members to be trained in specific...

Re: SF-86 (Security Clearance) Question

Secret? No. It may restrict you from certain duty assignments, however, it has been my experience that a failure to reveal information is far more detrimental, so always tell the truth. If you fail to reveal information and later assume duties that require greater clearances, it will all come out an...

Re: Running plan

Listen up studs.... The key to building speed and endurance for 2 to 5 mile runs is as follows... Training in accordance with your heart rate. Period. I don't care WHAT high speed program you use, it will mean exactly jack and squat if your heart rate is out of whack when you execute it. YOU do the ...

Feet and knee's together, toes pointed to the earth, once you feel your feet contact the earth push your knee into the other, make contact with your feet, calf, thigh, ...

"Courageous restraint".....

Right.

Great idea.

NOT!

That is one of the stupidest @*^%ing ideas for an award that I could imagine, and I am not the least bit surprised that it came from the limp wristed socialist nanny state formerly known as "Great" Britain.

Re: Re-test of the APFT

Ask any competitive runner, and they will tell you that being able to establish and maintain an appropriate pace for your particular run distance is crucial to achieving good times. This is an often overlooked aspect of the APFT. Most Joe's have never run as do competitors, myself included. Soldiers...
