Almost time for RIP
Hello Rangers, Just thought I'd update everyone once again on how things are going. At the moment, it is wednesday of Jump Week here at Airborne School. Because of the Labor Day weekend we've had a short week and had to do multiple jumps. I did a "hollywood" jump yesterday, and one more to...

Finally Arrived
Hello Rangers, It's been a while since I last posted any updates on my training, so here's a quick recap. I started with E Co 1-50th during OSUT, broke my wrist in around week 5 or 6, stuck around till week 11, went home on con leave, came back to OSUT and recycled to A Co 1-50th around week 4. Two ...

Out on Con Leave
Hello Rangers, I wasn't sure which category to file this under, but since I'm currently OSUT I figured this one would work. As of now I'm out on Con-Leave, during week 6 of training I broke my wrist in the Pugle Stick fight training. Talk about a bummer. I had to have a full arm cast up to my should...

Re: Enlistment Update
Hello Rangers, I have another update on my situation. I received a phone call from my recruiter today saying my renegotiation of my ship ship off date had been approved. I still need to go into the MEPS station and talk with a counselor, I guess to go over the updated contract, but as far as I know ...

Enlistment Update
Hello Rangers, I haven't gotten around to updating everyone on my current enlistment position. I went to MEPS about two weeks ago, and to my surprise, didn't have to argue near as much as I had prepared for. I guess my ASVAB score helped more than I had anticipated (91), and now I am locked in with ...

Enlistment update
Hello Rangers, I argued with recruiters for the better half of this afternoon, and finally walked out with a reserved slot for 11X with Option 40. I leave early Saturday morning for San Antonio for MEPs, and to argue with the counselors up there, but at least I'm finally on the right path towards be...

Civilian Introduction
Hello Rangers, My name is Justin, I'm 21, from Corpus Christi, Texas. I'm currently in the early stages of the enlisting process, still testing the water so to speak. At the moment, I have several questions about the entire enlisting process but I will get to those in a different forum. My dad enlis...

Ranger enlistment question
For too long I was under the impression that several different MOS's could be Rangers. I mean Ranger as in, finished the School, tan beret, and Ranger tab. My recruiter told me that the ONLY MOS that can be a "full fledged Army Ranger" is infantry. Is this correct? I'm new to how this all ...
