I exited for gas off the highway going thru downtown Austin, Texas one day. Getting back on the service road I had to wait on a red light. While waiting I read this guys sign which said..."Hell, I ain't gonna lie. I need a beer. God Bless."
Made me smile.

Oh the good ol' mommy days....memories like excavating the backyard like it was an archaeological dig. Practice shooting the first gun, a Red Rider. Playing veterinarian and surgically removing broken bird legs and making prosthetics for it. Practice hunting moving targets in the backyard, killing t...

Old Growth Timber
A woman who was a tree hugger and an Anti-Hunter advocate purchased a piece of timberland. There was a very large tree on one of the highest points in the tract. She wanted a good view of all the natural splendor of her land, so she decided to climb this big tree. She climbed and climbed and as she ...

I have known this only because of my interest in American Indian art not because I'm immigrant German. Yea, Hitler stained a good thing. If I was to shave my head and tattoo a swastika on my ass, I would look like one of those dick suckers you refer to...but if I was to wrap an Indian blanket around...

I call bullshit. I don't see how talking to a parent that LIVES in harms way is the same as talking to Sally about when you're going to the mall. I'm all for rules, but there's a fine line between hard and stupid. I agree...and may it NOT be the son's last opportunity to talk with his father. Rules...

I don't believe in silver bullets, wish casting or magic. But I do believe your devotional post for today is an affirmation for me. I can move on in confidence literally and figuratively. I can enjoy the knowledge that God is listening to my dialogs and prayers on this very subject, in my very prese...

University of Washington Chemistry Mid-Term Bonus Question
The following is supposedly an actual question given on a University of Washington chemistry mid-term. The answer by one student was so "profound" that the professor shared it with colleagues, via the Internet, which is, of course, why we now have the pleasure of enjoying it as well. Bonus...
