Donitz- Welcome! I was in 2/75 the same time you were. I was in A Co from '88-'89...3rd Platoon. What Co were you in? I was also a law enforcement officer, before and after my enlistment. I wish that I could get back in. I'm 45 now, so they won't even talk to me about it. Good luck to you. Oh, and i...

Re: ...

imma have to empty my bowels before the first jump.... You think you're kidding, but just wait. If you make it to Battalion, your Airborne Ops will turn into VERY lengthy exercises. After spending what seems like forever on the tarmac, getting rigged up and checked/re-checked, you'll hobble onto yo...

Jody-
Thanks, Bro......I'm starting to wonder if they really even want answers...almost appears from the constant 'DEP bitch-slapping' that they're just racing to see who can post the most questions/personal slams. Oh well, their loss, not ours.

Re: What's the difference between...

What's the difference between the Army Rangers and the Army's Green Berets? I asked my Captain at the Sheriff's Dept. that same question when I was getting ready to enlist (he was a former SF). This was his reply: "If you had a squad of Rangers down in a valley and ordered them to take the ene...

PaleHorse-

Don't worry, you'll be jumping high enough in Jump School to easily deploy your reserve chute, if need be. "Ain't no thang!"

One-eye-
Welcome. I was also in A Co. 2/75 from '88-'89. Like you, I was injured prior to going to RS.....so, there are at least two of us 'tabless biotches' here.

HEY PETE- Does this justify the need for a 'Dear Abby' section? Bwahahaha Maybe instead of having a Moderater for that section, you could just have a guidance/love counselor. If you do, be sure to make it all fluffy and touchy-feely...remember, "crying is part of being a man." (Barf!) RLTW...

At some point in your OSUT experience, the Drill Sgts will 'reward' you by taking you to the PX for about 15 minutes. You will be allowed to purchase some nifty "Follow Me" stationary, a "Love" card for your sweetheart, stamps, pens, envelopes, etc. The Drill Sgts will be praying...

Unless things have changed, chin-ups are done with the palms facing you. Pull-ups are done with the palms facing away. I don't recall anything about 6 being the limit....we had to do more than that before and after each meal and formation.

Well it's been a long time....someone can adjust fire here, if I'm off course, but it seems like they were all around 1250 feet during Jump School.

Copenhagen snuff, hard candy like jollyranchers, gum(no Bubblegum), Smokes, magazines(playboy), etc etc. Tool- Don't know how serious you were about the Playboys, but that's a BIG no-no.
